Project Description
ORTHOPAEDIC REHABILITATION
Musculo-skeletal pain is an orthopaedic concern. It doesn’t have to be related to a sport or a fall. People often develop pain with a particular movement or posture for no apparent reason. The following is a list of only a few of the common types of problems seen:
TMJ dysfunction
tennis elbow
SI joint pain
achilles tendonitis
plantar fasciitis
patella-femoral pain
bursitis of the shoulder, hip or knee
A detailed assessment (including the patient’s history, symptoms, posture, muscle balance, and movement pattern) can help to determine not only what the diagnosis is but what the actual cause is. In this way, the physiotherapist can work with you to not only resolve your symptoms, but to help you to learn how to prevent a reoccurrence.
